  • B7XA (1999–2003): 3rd gear clutch pack failure — same Honda class-action defect as Accord V6, Odyssey, Pilot. Loss of 3rd gear is sudden
  • BDKA (2004–2008): Improved but still prone to solenoid and clutch wear at 120k+ miles. The SH-AWD TL applies extra stress on the front clutch packs
