Yes — we visually inspect all units before installation and check fluid condition. We won't install a unit with obvious internal contamination.
We'll inspect it first. If it passes our inspection, we'll install it. If it doesn't, we won't — and we'll explain why.
A remanufactured unit is professionally rebuilt with new wear parts and comes with a real warranty (typically 3yr/100k). A used unit costs less but has unknown internal wear. For vehicles worth keeping, reman is almost always the better investment.
