Every friction disc, steel clutch plate, seal, gasket, O-ring, solenoid pack, filter, and torque converter are replaced. Hard parts (drums, shafts, pump bodies) are inspected and replaced if worn beyond spec.
A rebuilt transmission gets all-new wear components and comes with our lifetime warranty. A used transmission has unknown history and typically comes with a 90-day warranty. For most vehicles, rebuild is the better long-term value.
The warranty applies to the vehicle, not the owner. If you sell the car and disclose the rebuilt transmission, the warranty transfers to the new owner.
