What is Covered

Every full transmission rebuild we perform comes with a written lifetime warranty on parts and labor for as long as you own the vehicle. The warranty covers all internal hard parts, soft parts, electronic components installed during the rebuild, and labor to remove, repair, and reinstall the unit if a covered failure occurs.

The lifetime coverage is unique among Chicago transmission shops. Most competitors offer 12 months / 12,000 miles or 24/24. We extend ours for the life of your ownership because we are confident in the rebuild process and the parts we use.

Other Warranties

Not every job is a full rebuild. We also offer warranties scaled to the work performed:

Solenoid replacement — 24 months / 24,000 miles, parts and labor.
Valve body service — 24 months / 24,000 miles, parts and labor.
Torque converter replacement (alone) — 36 months / 36,000 miles.
Clutch replacement — 24 months / 24,000 miles.
Transfer case rebuild — Lifetime, parts and labor (same as transmission rebuild).
Differential rebuild — Lifetime, parts and labor.
Fluid service and minor maintenance — 12 months / 12,000 miles.

What is Not Covered

Like any warranty, ours has reasonable boundaries. Coverage does not extend to:

Damage from operating without proper fluid level or with contaminated fluid.
Damage from accident, off-road use, racing, or vehicle modification not approved at time of service.
Towing of trailers in excess of the manufacturer's rated capacity.
External components not part of the rebuilt unit (cooler lines, radiator, etc.) unless specifically replaced as part of the work.
Unauthorized service work performed by a third party after our rebuild.

How to Use Your Warranty

If you suspect a covered issue, call (312) 452-5637 and ask for the service desk. We will book you in promptly. Bring your original repair invoice if you have it; we also keep our own records on file by VIN, so we can pull the work history regardless. Diagnostic time is free for warranty work, and if a repair is required under warranty there is no charge to you.

Why a Lifetime Warranty Matters

A transmission rebuild is one of the most expensive repairs a vehicle owner is likely to face. Spending two, three, or four thousand dollars and walking away with a one-year warranty is unsettling. Our lifetime warranty signals our confidence in the work — and it shifts the long-term risk away from you and onto the shop that performed the rebuild.

The warranty also reflects how we choose parts. We do not cut corners with the cheapest aftermarket clutches or solenoids. We use OEM or OEM-equivalent components from manufacturers we have worked with for decades. The few extra dollars per rebuild for higher-quality parts pay for themselves many times over by avoiding repeat repairs.

Transferable to Future Owners?

Our standard lifetime warranty is non-transferable — it covers the original purchaser of the rebuild. If you sell the vehicle, ask us about a one-time transfer fee that extends a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty to the next owner. This is a great selling point when listing the vehicle.
