Buick uses a mix of GM transmissions — the HF35 CVT in Encore and older LaCrosse has been problematic, while Enclave and Envision use the 6T70 and 9T50 units with GM's typical solenoid failure patterns. The CVT in smaller Buicks is a Jatco unit that develops belt wear similar to Nissan.

The HF35 CVT in 2013–2020 Encore and some LaCrosse develops belt wear causing shudder and performance loss.

Enclave and Envision with 6T70 develop solenoid failures around 80–100k miles.
Symptoms: Harsh or delayed upshifts, P0750/P0760 codes, slipping under load

Newer Enclave and Envision with 9T50 nine-speed have shift quality complaints — harsh hunting shifts that software updates partially address.

Regal TourX AWD models develop transfer clutch wear causing vibration and AWD warning lights.

Harsh hunting shifts on the 9T50 in newer Enclave are often software-related. A TCM software update may resolve it. If not, valve body inspection is next.
