The ZF 8HP is a proven unit used in BMW, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, and others. XE-specific issues are mostly fluid-related (correct Lifeguard 8 ATF) and software calibration. With proper maintenance, ZF 8HP units in the XE routinely reach 150,000 miles.
