Subaru CVT service requires genuine Subaru CVTF-II or equivalent — no Dexron or generic fluid. Chain replacement is a common high-mileage repair. Oil pump failure requires full rebuild or replacement. We perform fluid flushes with our exchange machine and rebuild CVTs in-house with updated chain and pulley sets.

Every 30,000 miles with genuine Subaru CVTF-II. Subaru says 25,000 for severe duty. Do not use generic CVT fluid — the Subaru CVT is sensitive to fluid chemistry.
