The Aisin TF-60SN solenoid body is prone to SV-1 (solenoid valve 1) failure, causing specific shift quality issues and DTC P0750.
Symptoms: DTC P0750 or P0755, harsh or absent 1-2 shift, limp mode
TCC shudder is very common on the 09G, especially in 2.0T turbocharged Golf/Jetta applications. Resolved with ATF change in early cases.
Symptoms: Vibration at 40–55 mph, DTC P0740, worse after long highway runs
2.0T turbocharged applications degrade the ATF faster than naturally aspirated cars, causing accelerated solenoid varnish.
Symptoms: Progressive shift quality deterioration, dark ATF, multiple DTCs
09G rebuild replaces solenoid body (SV-1 focus), all clutch packs, torque converter, and all seals. VW G 055 025 A2 ATF used throughout.
VW G 055 025 A2 ATF every 40,000 miles. Turbocharged Golf/Jetta owners should shorten to 30,000-mile intervals. TCC shudder in early stages often resolves with a fresh ATF flush.
