Same closely-spaced lower gear shift harshness as Ford 10R80. Very common in the 2019–2020 Camaro. Multiple PCM updates from GM address this.
Symptoms: Clunk or jerk in 1st–3rd gears; hunting in stop-and-go
TCC shudder at 40–70 mph — fluid-related in most cases.
Symptoms: Vibration at highway speed under light throttle
High-mileage solenoid wear causes erratic gear selection in the complex 10-speed architecture.
Symptoms: Missed gears; erratic shift counts; limp mode
Full disassembly. TCC replaced. Solenoid body replaced. All clutch packs replaced. Valve body rebuilt. Full soft parts kit.
Dexron HP every 45,000 miles. Check for PCM updates before any mechanical repair — GM has released substantial shift quality improvements via software.
