High-mileage solenoid wear causes erratic gear selection in the complex 10-speed architecture.
Symptoms: Missed gears; erratic shift counts; limp mode
Full disassembly. TCC replaced. Solenoid body replaced. All clutch packs replaced. Valve body rebuilt. Full soft parts kit.
Dexron HP every 45,000 miles. Check for PCM updates before any mechanical repair β GM has released substantial shift quality improvements via software.
