The 6HP32's mechatronic unit faces the most extreme heat of any 6HP variant in V8/V12 E65 applications. Failure is extremely common after 80,000 miles.
Symptoms: Limp mode, DTC codes, MIL on, transmission stuck in 3rd gear
V12 760Li applications destroy TCC friction material faster than any other application. ZF fluid changes are mandatory to extend converter life.
Symptoms: Highway shudder, DTC P0740, vibration at 55–80 mph
Despite being the highest-rated 6HP variant, V8/V12 sustained performance use wears clutch packs faster than designed.
