Same SRV bore weakness as the rest of the 6T family. AWD load increases bore wear rate.
Symptoms: 2nd-gear slip under AWD load; harsh 1-2 shift
Same PTU failure mode as 6T70 but under heavier loads in AWD applications.
Symptoms: PTU fluid leak; AWD shudder; grinding from PTU
High-mileage AWD applications develop differential carrier bearing noise from the combined FWD/AWD loads.
Symptoms: Growl from transaxle area increasing with speed; worse on turns
SRV bore kit. PTU seals replaced. Differential carrier bearings replaced. All clutch packs replaced. Solenoid body replaced. Full soft parts. Valve body rebuilt.
Dexron VI every 40,000 miles. PTU fluid every 45,000 miles. AWD applications require diligent service β neglected fluid destroys both the transaxle and the PTU.
The 6T75 has higher torque capacity for heavier AWD applications (Enclave, higher-output Traverse). Stronger planetary gears and clutch packs than the 6T70.
Could be either β AWD shudder on takeoff often points to the rear coupling or PTU. We diagnose both before recommending a repair.
