The oil pump wears on high-mileage units, causing line pressure drop and soft shifts across all gears.
Symptoms: Soft or inconsistent shifts, delayed engagement from Park, slip under acceleration
The adjustable band loses tension from wear, causing slip in 2nd gear specifically.
Symptoms: RPM flare on 1-2 upshift, 2nd gear slip under moderate acceleration
