The solenoid pack deteriorates, causing erratic shift patterns and DTCs. Common on Tiburon applications from performance driving.
Symptoms: DTC P0750–P0758, harsh or absent shifts in specific gears, MIL on
TCC shudder develops from neglected SP-III fluid on Elantra and Tiburon applications.
Symptoms: Vibration at 35–55 mph, DTC P0740, shudder under light throttle cruise
3rd gear clutch pack wear causes slip specifically under moderate acceleration in 3rd gear.
Symptoms: RPM flare in 3rd gear, DTC P0733, smooth shifts in 1st and 2nd but slip in 3rd
A4BF rebuild replaces solenoid pack, all clutch packs, torque converter, and all seals. SP-III ATF used. Valve body ultrasonically cleaned.
