Shift solenoid S1 (the most common failure) causes harsh or absent 1-2 shifts and limp mode. This is the #1 repair on AW55-50 units.

AW55-50SN rebuild replaces solenoid body (S1 focus), conductor plate, all clutch packs, torque converter, and all seals. JWS 3309 spec fluid used.
JWS 3309 / Esso LT 71141 ATF every 40,000 miles. Solenoid S1 failure is the most common single repair — if diagnosed early, S1 replacement alone may avoid full rebuild.
