Same governor pressure solenoid failure as RE4F family but in RWD application. Higher torque loads from V6/V8 engines accelerate solenoid wear.
Symptoms: High-RPM shifts, DTC P0745, limp mode
The front band loses tension with use, causing slip in 2nd gear under acceleration. Periodic adjustment or replacement restores function.

Infiniti Q45 V8 applications generate enough torque to wear the TCC friction disc prematurely, especially with towing.

RE4R01A rebuild replaces governor solenoid, front band, all clutch packs, and all seals. Torque converter is rebuilt with upgraded friction disc. 4WD transfer case compatibility is verified. All bearings and thrust washers renewed.
Nissan Matic-J ATF every 30,000 miles. Band adjustment should be verified at each major service on high-mileage 300ZX and Pathfinder units. Check 4WD transfer case fluid separately on Pathfinder.
