Symptoms: Late shifts, DTC P0745 or P1762, limp mode with 3rd gear only
The overdrive (4th gear) band wears from normal use, causing slip specifically in 4th gear on highway.
Symptoms: Highway slip at cruise, RPM flare in 4th gear, engagement shudder when OD engages
The front differential oil seal leaks ATF into the 4WD transfer unit on Pathfinder applications.
Symptoms: ATF leak from front axle area, 4WD engagement issues, puddle under vehicle after parking
RE4R03A rebuild replaces governor solenoid, OD band set, all clutch packs, and all seals. 4WD transfer compatibility and front differential seal are inspected. Torque converter is rebuilt.
Nissan Matic-K ATF every 30,000 miles. Check 4WD transfer case fluid and front differential fluid separately on Pathfinder. Do not mix Matic-K with earlier Matic-D in the same sump.
