The 1.5T engine's torque output is high for a push-belt CVT. Belt wear occurs faster than with naturally aspirated applications, especially under aggressive driving.
Symptoms: Whine or drone from transaxle, jerking under acceleration, DTC P0868 or P0869
The SP7A exhibits shudder at low vehicle speeds (5–20 mph) under light throttle. Honda issued TSBs addressing valve body calibration.
Symptoms: Vibration when accelerating gently from low speeds, most noticeable in parking lots and traffic
Turbocharged heat loads accelerate HCF-2 breakdown. Neglected fluid intervals cause varnish deposits on pulleys that cannot be fully cleaned.
Symptoms: Increased noise, erratic ratio changes, fuel economy loss
SP7A rebuild replaces belt set and pulley assemblies. Valve body is cleaned and reprogrammed per latest Honda TSBs. HCF-2 fluid is used throughout. All seals, solenoids, and the start clutch are replaced.
Change HCF-2 CVT fluid every 25,000 miles on turbocharged CR-V and Accord — more frequently than Honda's published 30,000 mile recommendation due to turbo heat. Avoid aggressive acceleration until the fluid is warm.

This is a known SP7A issue. Honda issued valve body recalibration TSBs. A software update may resolve it if not yet applied; persistent cases require valve body service.
Every 25,000 miles with Honda HCF-2. Turbocharged heat loads degrade CVT fluid faster than Honda's standard interval implies.
