The hybrid inverter cooling circuit can cross-contaminate the ATF in rare cases, causing both fluid and electrical issues.

We service the conventional transmission portion of the U250E. Hybrid motor components (MG1, MG2) and inverter components require specialist hybrid equipment — we partner with Toyota-certified hybrid technicians for those repairs.
Toyota WS ATF every 40,000 miles for the conventional trans portion. The hybrid system adds complexity — maintain dealer relationship for inverter and HV battery service.
We rebuild the conventional automatic transmission portion of the U250E. The hybrid motor and inverter components are outside our scope — those require Toyota-certified hybrid specialists with HV safety training.
