The AS69RC is an Aisin-built 6-speed automatic used in Ram HD trucks with the 6.7L Cummins diesel. It replaced the earlier 68RFE on some configurations and is considered significantly more robust. Aisin's manufacturing quality is excellent; failure rates are lower than the 68RFE. Primary issues are solenoid pack and torque converter.

The solenoid pack is the primary electronic failure point, though less common than in the 68RFE.
