Experienced Hyundai / Kia 8DCT Dual Clutch specialists since 1987. Free computer diagnostic, lifetime warranty on rebuilds.
Hyundai/Kia's 8-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) replaced conventional automatics in many models starting mid-2010s. It's a wet dual-clutch design β unlike dry DCTs, it's better suited for low-speed maneuvering. Early examples (2016β2018) had shudder complaints resolved by software updates. We see these increasingly as they age past the powertrain warranty.

Shift fork wear causes specific gear engagement hesitation.
