The U760E is Toyota's 8-speed automatic for front-wheel-drive applications β the successor to the U660E. Smoother and more efficient, it's a newer unit and we're seeing increasing volumes as 2018+ Camrys age. Known for being extremely reliable when maintained; early failure modes are still being established.

The 8-speed valve body is more complex than the U660E. Early solenoid degradation from extended fluid intervals is the primary observed failure.
Symptoms: Harsh shifts, erratic behavior, P0750βP0776
TCC issues similar to the U660E but less common in earlier mileage vehicles.

So far yes β Toyota's reputation for transmission quality carries over. It's too new to have long-term data but early signs are positive.
Primarily extended fluid change intervals. Use Toyota ATF WS and change it every 60k miles.
The V6 RAV4 (where applicable) uses the U760E. The AWD system adds a rear differential but the front transmission is the same.
