CX-3 SkyActiv-Drive diagnosis and repair is identical to CX-30 and Mazda3 — all share the same transmission and service protocol. Mazda FZ ATF verification, shudder test under highway load, software version check. Torque converter replacement for persistent shudder. AWD coupling service is separate. Valve body service for erratic shifts on high-mileage units. The CX-3's compact engine bay makes fluid service slightly more involved than larger Mazda models but procedures are well-established.

Very similar — both use the SkyActiv-Drive 6-speed automatic with the 2.0L SkyActiv-G engine. Parts and service procedures are largely shared. The CX-3's AWD system adds the i-ACTIV coupling which is a separate service item.
Every 45,000 miles with Mazda FZ ATF. For Chicago city driving, 40,000 miles is conservative. Mazda's 'lifetime' fluid claim doesn't account for the heat cycles of stop-and-go urban driving.
