Outlander Sport CVT diagnosis: CVTF-J4 fluid condition check first. Belt and pulley inspection under load. Overheating diagnosis includes cooler flow evaluation - adding an auxiliary cooler is recommended for units that repeatedly overheat. AWC coupling fluid is a separate service from the main CVT. Input shaft seal repair requires front transmission disassembly. CVT rebuild includes new belt, pulleys, and bearings with fresh CVTF-J4.

Active All-Wheel Control - Mitsubishi's electronically-controlled AWD coupling that varies torque split front to rear based on conditions. Coupling fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles - neglecting it causes vibration and coupling wear.
