2008–2013: DQ250 6-speed DSG (wet DCT) — 2.0T. Golf TDI: DQ250. 2014–2021: DQ250 (GTI/TDI), DQ200 (base Golf 1.4T). 2022–present: DQ381 7-speed DSG (GTI/Golf R).
Golf and GTI are the highest-volume DSG cars we see — DQ250 mechatronic replacement is our bread-and-butter VW repair. DQ200 on base Golf is more problematic — the dry clutch packs wear faster in stop-and-go driving. DQ381 on 2022+ GTI is smoother and more durable but still needs proper DSG fluid. Golf R Haldex service is a separate item.

No — it's DQ200 mechatronic wear. The dry clutch is more sensitive to stop-and-go driving than the wet DQ250. It gets worse in cold weather.
Every 40,000 miles with VW G052529A2 and OEM filter. Don't extend this — the mechatronic solenoids need clean fluid to maintain calibration.
