"Honest diagnosis, fair price, and the repair was done right. Chicago Transmission has been my go-to for years. Wouldn't trust anyone else with my car."
"The free diagnostic alone was worth the trip. They found the problem fast, gave me a written estimate, and completed the work on time. Exceptional service."
"Family owned and it shows. They treated my car like it was their own. The lifetime warranty on my rebuild gives me total peace of mind. Highly recommend."
That's the BDKA 3rd clutch pack failure β one of Honda/Acura's most documented defects. A full rebuild is the only fix: $1,700β2,300.
Yes β the ZF 9HP in the 2014β2020 MDX has known cold-shift issues. PCM update is first; if shifts don't improve after 500 miles, valve body service is next.
We service the SH-AWD rear unit simultaneously. At MDX mileage where trans work is needed, the rear unit usually needs attention too β we do both in one visit.
Absolutely. MDX chassis and engines reach 250k+ miles. A rebuilt transmission with lifetime warranty is the right investment.
3β5 days depending on which generation.
Same-day appointments available. Honest estimates, no surprises. We've been doing this since 1987.
