Known Acura TLX Transmission Problems

• 8DCT (2015–2020 4-cyl): Dry dual-clutch judder at low speed — same DCT engagement issue as Hyundai/Kia applications. Acura issued multiple software updates; mechanical clutch pack wear requires rebuild
• ZF 9HP V6 (2015–2020): Valve body solenoid wear — harsh shift especially 1-2 and 2-1, worse cold. Identical failure to MDX and Jeep Cherokee applications
• 10-speed (2021+): Early production harsh shift — PCM calibration updates largely resolved it

8DCT: software update first (Acura/Honda may cover this). If judder persists, clutch pack assessment — worn clutch material requires rebuild. ZF 9HP: same approach as MDX. 10-speed (2021+): PCM update first.
