2000–2006: 4L60-E on 5.3L; 4L80-E on heavy-duty Yukon XL. 2007–2013: 6L80 six-speed on 5.3L; 6L90 on 6.2L. 2014–2020: 6L80 on 5.3L; 6L90 on 6.2L. 2021–2024: 10L80 on 5.3L; 10L90 on 6.2L. 4WD: Autotrac transfer case (NV246 or BorgWarner).
Yukon transmissions are identical to Silverado and Sierra of the same year. Full 6L80 rebuild with pump replacement is the primary repair for warm-slipping Yukons. TCC shudder on 8-speed and 10-speed models starts with fluid exchange.
6L80/6L90 uses Dexron VI. 10L80/10L90 uses Dexron HP. 4L60-E uses Dexron VI. Transfer case uses AutoTrak II.
