The ProMaster's TF-80SC is an Aisin unit shared with Volvo and other FCA products β we stock all solenoid sets and rebuild kits. Fluid service with genuine Aisin/Mopar fluid resolves most shudder complaints. Solenoid body replacement cures most shift quality issues. Cooler line fittings are a wear item we replace with upgraded aftermarket units.
Mopar ATF+4 or Aisin ATF β do not use Dexron VI.

Usually the solenoid body on the TF-80SC. These vans accumulate mileage fast in delivery service, and solenoid wear shows up as erratic, hunting shifts. Solenoid body replacement typically resolves it.
Fluid and filter service is done in-bay. Solenoid body and valve body work requires partial removal. Full rebuild requires a complete R&R.
Every 30,000 miles β stop-and-go delivery routes are hard on transmissions. Use only Mopar ATF+4 or genuine Aisin fluid.

Yes β the ProMaster City uses a different 6-speed unit (sourced from the Fiat 500L platform) but we service both variants.
