6L80: SRV sleeve + TCC fluid exchange. 8L90: Dexron HP exchange first, converter replacement if persistent, full rebuild for clutch damage. 10L90: Sonnax valve body kit + PCM reflash.

Yes — 8L90 TCC shudder is the most common Escalade complaint. Start with a Dexron HP fluid exchange. If shudder returns within 500 miles, converter replacement is the permanent fix.
More so than the 5.3L — higher torque accelerates SRV and TCC wear. More frequent fluid changes (every 30k) recommended.
No — early 10L90 production had harsh shift issues. Check for pending PCM updates. If mechanical, valve body service resolves it.
