The 2019+ Passport uses a Honda/ZF 9-speed automatic - complex but repairable. Software updates from Honda address some shift quality complaints. For TCC shudder, Honda DW-1 fluid exchange is the first step. The original 1994 - 2002 Passport was an Isuzu rebadge with a completely different drivetrain.
2019+ 9AT uses Honda ATF DW-1. Change every 30,000 miles - Honda's extended interval recommendation is not appropriate for Chicago stop-and-go.
