Known Lincoln Navigator Transmission Problems

• 6R80 (2007–2017): Same solenoid body and TCC failures as F-150 6R80 — but Navigator's added weight stresses the solenoid body more. Common at 80–120k miles
• 10R80 (2018+): TCC shudder identical to F-150 10R80. Navigator with twin-turbo EcoBoost makes high torque — shudder develops at 40k+ miles
• Heavy towing: Navigator rated for 9,300 lbs — max-capacity towing stresses both 6R80 and 10R80 TCC significantly

Warning Signs — When to Bring It In

• Shudder at 30–50 mph — 10R80 TCC
• Harsh 2-3 shift — 6R80 solenoid
• Slip under tow load
• P0755/P0741 codes
